A bad publisher is something like EA, Activison or Ubisoft that actively hurts their customers.

On this note, I'd like to bring up this:

I think this deserves it's own thread, otherwise we will seriously go off topic in this thread.

There is no rails, only carefully dugout tracks that fall apart at any given post in the topic.

2K have published some right cracking titles, to be fair.

Like, I don't know, Civ IV and V? Pirates!? BioShock? Borderlands? Dungeon Siege II? Serious Sam II? The Darkness games were pretty good too.

Admittedly they've also published some Right Questionable Crap - but who hasn't? (Capcom?  :))

Why are there so many questions in this reply?

I would agree on all those titles, save for Dungeon Siege II. It was, quite frankly, not that stellar. But then again, it wasn't crap either.

Of course....of course they just HAD to. They...oh my ******* god.

2K Games screws Steam customers over by removing the pre order bonuses

I'm linking my reply, but you can read the entire thread if you are curious. I HATE publishers. I f******* AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!

I'm too mad to type anything comprehensive right now so I'm gonna leave before I kill the profanity filter.

You know. I am really starting to hate publishers these days. I was actually rather hopeful that 2K would prove me wrong. Then they do this. Pre-order bonuses with tiered rewards. Because, you know, we have to EARN our pre-order bonuses now. Because fronting $50.00-$60.00+ isn't harsh enough when we can wait and buy it later for ridiculously cheap. So yeah. Way to go guys. You just really keep proving my point. If it isn't Ubisoft's DRM, its EA's Origin and now its you greedy jerks. *sighs*. I am this close to throwing in the towel and going full indie from now on.

I really. Really. Want to like AAA publishers. But beyond Valve, I just can't. Because your a bunch of idiots and thieves. And you have the gall to call us thieves. Throwing stones in glass houses....

Also, ninja-ed by Fox lol.

I don't really mind the tiered system. It's meh and doesn't interest me. It's the fact that the Elite Soldier Pack was included in EVERY SINGLE PREORDER TO DATE, and will continue to be in every digital preorder, EXCEPT from Steam, because we have to "earn it".

*goes off to chew on the sofa...or something. Better than seeking out and violently murdering publishers*

Looks like the forums are ablaze with "YOU FREAKING LIARS!" in a little nicer tone, and their Community Manager went "Ehehe...we kinda ... err...we were just joking, k?"

Also King, it's not "ninja'd" with me. It's "viking'd".

Aside from having to pay extra on steam and no where else for the preorders, how is it different then tiered pre order rewards with kickstarters?
Life is short. Have fun.
