Tutorial is annoying as hell

FFS, guys .... DO A MANUAL!

I'm pretty sure the effort that went into the tutorial is no less than the effort required to do a manual; but the tutorial is annoying as hell, and a manual is benign.

I also realize that I am not your target demographic. I'm old. I read. I have no ADD ... oh look! A fly!

Kudos on such an original game; but again .. DO A MANUAL, PLEASE!

You can skip the tutorial entirely and you can look up most stuff in the wiki.
Doing a manual is not as easy as you put it. It's a lot of hard work and most of the time people prefer a tutorial over a manual because you cannot use a manual in the game (therefor having to minimize/close it to look stufff up), the tutorial is interactive (well... not in TLF but in most other games) and most of the tiem it saves a lot of time.
The manual is more of a reference guide to look stuff more detailed up while a tutorial explains only the most important gameplay elements without going too much into detail or explaining every single stat.
And I'm not sure about this because I didn't play TLF in a long time but does it not have a reference guide or anything that you can look up anytime int he game?
If that's the case - > Skip tutorial on next play, look everything up in the reference guide.

Also, Arcen games are updated multiple times, a lot of new features implemented and other stuff changed/rebalanced. We had this case in AI War when the manual wasn't up to date anymore and the effort was to big to update it again (but AI War is crazy as hell compared to TLF). And Arcen games is a very small company, almost everything is done by only 3 guys and they manage all the games. Going for a manual for all of their games is not practicable in my opinion.
But I guess Arcen games should talk for themself.

You could also simply ask questions, either here or on the main Steam forums for the game.   I guarantee you that just complaining about the tutorial will accomplish literally nothing, but asking direct questions absolutely will.  Easier to get a response here than on the Steam forums though.  Or if it's merely that you found the tutorial annoying, explain WHY it was, and what part of it was. 

As a rule though, Arcen's tutorials are usually pretty much like the one you see in that game... you get a brief set of instructions on the absolute basics, and then are sorta expected to just experiment alot from there.  Harsh at times, yeah, but they seriously only have so much time to put into that aspect of the game, and tutorials actually can take a darned long time to make. 

As it is though I keep thinking I might make a full beginner's guide for the game myself, after having seen pretty much this topic repeated by people pretty often at this point.... I'm kinda surprised an in-depth guide hasnt appeared already, actually.

Yell at someone to update the wiki and have Arcen link to it from the main menu (I would help with the first one, but I haven't played TLF in ages).
