endgame a matter of Time? :)) The Planet Cracker
« on: April 21, 2014, 07:31:20 am »
Well guys, i played up to this point without ever fighting myself i delivered space tech two times and did obviously the escape mission. I had to flee two times from assassins these were the only times i saw my ship ^^. Okay so what happened here is, i have 3 races in federation (skylaxian, andors and evucks) only acutians are left but as you can see they wont die ^^ even though i sabotaged and stuff...
The fun thing is they start using the planet cracker which i dont know how to stop. That means every 120 turns or something, they just destroy a planet and since the almost 300 million ships sourrounding their planet cant win the fight (this fight really takes forever and is going on for ages now) it seems like there is no way to win this ^^. Here is a picture :)) If anyone knows a way to stop this dont hesitate :))

This particular problem of an overwhelming force unable to take a planet was also reported by several other players. The support of arcen is amazing so this will most likely be fixed the same day as the dev starts working again after the holidays.

yeah i saw some of those threads and really pushed the numbers here. In this fight there are really ALOT ships involved and the thing I'm interested in as well is how to stop planet crackers. If i knew how to stop them i would be able to keep this game going to see how much more would be needed to kill them in the current state of the game. But since i dont know how to stop planet crackers... its easy for the ai to wipe out planets with 35T people on it^^ and in the end wipe out the federation

The only thing I can think of is having Andor having the 'trade faction' in power, and using their 'colonize other planet's moon' option to colonize each and every one of Acutian moons.

As I've understoodthe planetcrackers are unstoppable otherwise. Although I've never witnessed them myself yet.

Population in the trillions sounds like a bug in itself frankly.

Well, they're robots. They might be really tiny robots.

Adding to the rest of the feedback, and hoping the bug is quickly fixed considering how awesome the game is otherwise:

Had the same problem completely blocking two of my games at the verge of victory. Each time a lonely planet (two different races - Thoraxians and Burlusts) is against the whole galaxy, without any space forces, largely beaten in terms of ground forces (Burlusts went down to 1M Pop, Thoraxians still managed to grow but were severely outnumbered).

Saves of both situations included.
