Got a few questions

Hello everyone,
so today I joined the Beta (yeah!) and I have a few questions:

-Terraforming: It seems that I can place the terraforming tiles nearly everywhere, even on tiles that already have another building in it. Is this intentional? Does it make any difference to the existing building or the terraforming tile when I place it on a building or should I place it on an empty spot?

-Build-menu: Sometimes buildings need a second resource. For example the barracks cost 18k credits and 2 of something else. How can I find out the names of that second resources? I guess those are acquired either by mining or trading?

-Power indicator in the GUI: It always says "This city has spend 0 power this turn" What kind of actions consume power besides the running costs of the buildings?

-Scouts: I built 2 Scout buildings and after a couple of turns I got the warning message "You don't have any scouts" and I can't send them out any longer. Is there a reason for that or might this be a bug?

-Sound-Message(?): Sometimes after a turn I hear a short robotic sound. Like for a notification or so but without anything special happening. Is there a meaning behind that sound?

-International Incidents: I often am the target of one and the aggressor seems to be the "Fenyn" which don't seem to be a race in the game. It seems to go away without me having to do anything. Not sure what this is all about.

As you can see I'm a bit struggling to understand all aspects of the game, is there a wiki or something similar where I can learn the game mechanics?

- Terraforming is independent of buildings on a tile.
- The Sound is likely a building being finished.

While we're asking questions:

What do the Sonar Mapper and Sonar surveyor do?
What benefit do I get from building underground dwellings?
How am I supposed to use the subterranean layer at all?
And how do you make good use of gathered resources? Build a Chemical Plant, process them there, and place buildings next to it that benefit from the bonus?
And how in the name of god are you supposed to make sensible use of diplomacy?

>> Surveyor is like the scout station. Mapper auto-sonars everything around it each turn. Below ground doesn't update like the above ground view.

>> Right now, I think it is mostly just underground housing and where other races build tons of things. Tab to get there.

>>Yes. Except the type of plant used to gain the bonus depends on the resource.

And how in the name of god are you supposed to make sensible use of diplomacy?
>>It doesn't really work well right now. The AI brains are MIA due to development course. You can talk to people to get resources and sell them things, that's about it.

>> It may/should effect lumber mills. Otherwise it really doesn't matter where you place it. Should it?  Maybe.

>>That's how many of those you have built already, i.e., you have 2 barracks.

>> Shooting people mostly. Terraforming. Toxin Screening. That's about it I think.

>>They only explore within X units of themselves. In the next version this will be increased to be within X units of any scout or within your transport range.

>> Building finished sounds reasonable. I play without sound on.

>> They are in the game. The part where they attack the player was too vicious in early versions. They don't seem to be working right now. It does work in later turns, perhaps it is a turn limit problem? Not sure.

>>There is. But how and why you suffer is useful (for Chris to refine his psychological destroyer probe for earthling brains).

1 the surveyor(it could be the other one I'm not really sure) gives you ability to explore a group of the under ground once per turn for each surveyor you have like scouts pretty much
2 the benefits are 1 you get to house your citizens in place which doesn't get in the way of your surface buildings they only get in the way of your underground buildings of which there are like 1 therefore making them much more space efficient 2 there safe from attack from the surface
3 pretty much what I said above although I think you can harvest some resources underground?.(at least I remember being able to do that I may just be going made here though)
4 pretty much what I've taken to doing is building some like that then putting buildings around it in a circle
5 there isn't really a sensible way to do that personally I don't like the way the diplomacy related things have been changed I mean come on 90 thousand to build an embassy?! REALY?! that just seems stupid to me I also don't really like the pop limit on linguistic centres the limit was fine before but a 1000 limit just seems silly to me.
