Unfortunately I don't look at the sky much (and I probably wouldn't have seen it from where I live anyway).  :(

What are those glowing things?

Since no one cared to guess (or knew), it's Jupiter, Venus, and Mercury (left -> right).

You can catch this (slightly changing everyday) formation of planets over the next few days.  The next time anything like this will happen is in late 2015.  What time?  Look west into the sunset.  Venus should be the first visible planet in the evening.  Jupiter next and Mercury creeping in as the light fades out.  :)
