Hard-hitting questions
« on: November 12, 2011, 12:35:31 pm »
So the off-topic forum has been languishing as we wait for the major releases.

So I thought we might have a good discussion, quick and easy, on the latest changes in the world since last AI war major updates:

1) Corporal punishment(remember the judge in Texas beating up his disabled daughter), thumbs up or down? Doesn't necessarily have to be to the degree of the evil judge.

2) "Imagine there's no pizza.…" Did you play SimCity, and what was your simulated tax plan?

3) Passing it off- Joe Paterno: guilty as charged? Did he do his duty or did he pass it off/neglect?

4) Because we like games- skyrim: thumbs up or down?

5) Code versioning is hard- sword of the stars 2: did you get suckered?

6) Awards that matter- Favorite game of 2011?

I dunno about suckered, seeing as how much they've done to it already, but kinda pissed yes. At least I get to play the Beta while they fix the game, an it is quite good.

In response to number 1, I found the beating of his poor little girl to be a brutal and terrible thing.  I think studies have all but concluded that physical punishment on children has very negative effects in later life, and pretty much just teaches them that violence is the answer to disobedience from a young age.  Of course, there's always the danger of going to the other extreme, and not disciplining or punishing your kid at all, so you can't be a neglectful parent either.

I think it's best to find a happy medium, preferably without beating your children.

I am kinda pissed as well.. i have written of this game for like.. at least 6 months and just forget i trusted Kerberus. But its amazing how openly they LIED before the release.. i mean they could have been honest and say "ok guys, it ain't done but we need the monies.. so here you get access to the early beta and we develop till its a golden egg"

Instead they let us run blindly into the knife... last game from Kerberus i ever bought before a year of patching.
