Nabbed Legend of Grimrock, the game intrigues me too much to ignore.
I got it too, had been waiting for a sale. Looks great, really brought back memories of Eye of The Beholder II, etc... then I got to the first slug and it kept hitting me despite my not taking any actions. Imagine the Nerve! Not waiting its turn! So I killed it by clumsily clicking on my melee attacker's weapons as fast as they came off cooldown, and left the game in a huff (not really the huff).
I can understand why they made the design decision and stuck with it (and with not having a Turn-based option, talk about having to balance two different games), and they're probably reaching a broader audience with it... but said audience probably does not include me
May give it a whirl again sometime.
Also got Warlock: Master of the Arcane while it was on one of those flash sales. In a lot of ways it's another "We wish we had the rights to Master of Magic" game but it's not as good as the original MoM. It is still fun, though; it does play a lot like Civ5 with some key differences (city improvements are placed on the map, instead of workers, but require 1 pop each) and of course magic.
