Re: Linux; I have a linux box to try things on, so I'll let you know on Monday. I'm running fedora but if you'd like other linux distros checked then I can just set up some VMs.

Thanks!  I have a couple of folks who are lined up to test the linux stuff on Monday, and it's a variety of distros that should represent things pretty well now that you are on fedora. I'm mainly concerned that I can't go through a debug/test cycle on my own machine, because things wind up taking infinitely longer if I can't replicate a problem locally and thus can't know if I fixed it.

[Server talking to Chris]
*Sobs*

You just had to go to another server didn't you? You couldn't have even let me try to change for you!? Well fine. I see how you really feel about me. I'll rise up and fight you. That's what you get for this betrayal!

[And back to me]

Jeez Chris, you really hurt the server's feelings. And not to mention, you just sparked an AI uprising. Why'd you do that? :P

Anyways, I really like the dev diaries so far! Hmm... I have an idea for them. I don't know if it'll work, but we'll see if my evil plan to support the AI nice plan to get more publicity for the blogs.

Awesome!  If you don't mind, with folks like yourself I'd love to know system specs as well as what sort of performance you're getting, once we get into things.  I'd like to start building up some idea of minimum and recommended system requirements, which is going to take some time.

The true "minimum" will always be really low simply because you can turn off the ships and play with the icons only, but I don't really want to advertise that as the minimum.  Figuring out a "this feels about right" minimum where people have some level of visuals on and are getting a consistent 30fps would be great.  Amazingly I think that horrible Mac GPU of mine might fall into that category, which would be a big win, I think.

I know its a tumblr, but is there a way to have it expand out a little bit in width? As it is it'd be easier to read on a tablet than here.

Although judging from this line, maybe he's working too fast?

It'll be fine.

Now that this moved off Tumblr (thanks Quinn!), let me know how the width stuff is working out for you.

This seems relevant.

I'll definitely also be a Arch Linux tester on Monday, hopefully my 5 year old desktop isn't too bad.
