Is it that broken if I want to build exo-shields on my allies extractors(and pay the upkeep cost?). I can currently build forcefields for my allies(but I suppose these are limited by a ship cap), why can't I build exo-shields on my allies extractors, just the fact that theres no ship cap?
My idea for this would have been for player 1 to keep the exo-shield(and have to pay the upkeep for it for player 2) who he gifted the extractor to rather than having the exo-shield automatically transfer.
It just seems different from any other building where you can build it for other players.
On all of the other buildings that you can build for other players, there is either a finite ship cap or they don't have a knowledge cost to unlock them. So basically, you then have an opportunity cost, whereas here there is none (in terms of knowledge, which is the more finite resource).
But, more than that, any time a ship is destroyed (which happens when a ship is gifted, incidentally), any exoshields attached to it will be destroyed. That's the current thing, anyway.
