Super forts are great! Except...

Their default build speed is too high! 18 million each is an acceptable price.

But the building cost of over 5k per second? Ridicolous in how often I have to start and stop its construction without killing my economy.

I understand that having a build cost of 2K per second will have it build for 2 and a half hours, but nothing is stopping you from using engineers to build it faster.

In the meanwhile, I can build:
Armor nullifier
Armor booster
2x OMD
Black hole machines

for less then a super fort in terms of rate. Right now its quite micro intensive.

Your economy can take 5.1k per second?

I'm asking this legitimately. All the other Z-trader toys aside from Ion cannons cost 1k max.

Radar Jammer Mk II cost around 2k per sec.

Remember I play 16 HW and I usually unlock Mk II harvesters early. My early econ is around 8k M+C per sec.

I doubt anyone will agree that 16 HW is remotely considered a balance point for anything.

My OP proposal was to have the super fort build rate down to 2k as well, so about that of the Radar II jammer.

Nothing is stopping you from using some of your 16 caps of engineers to speed up the super fort construction if you want  ;)

Super Forts are way too expensive. I have never used them and never will.

Lulz. When I get to the point where I need to build them, I usually have an econ that can build 3 or 4 at once ;)

Super forts are too ugly. I'm never using them until they have Mickey Mouse ears.

Build 2 miniforts and park them in appropriate positions around the superfort :)

I don't care much about superforts myself. I hardly ever have to build regular forts, why bother with a super. Now I've had single homeworld economies that could handle 5k/s, but that was near the end of a big fallen spire campaign. And you really don't need any forts or superforts at that stage.
