how to invest discussion

DON'T GET ME WRONG i am not advertising how to trade stocks, but i would love something in ai war that you invest long term (sounds starship like) but you cannot shorten the time. It would take a long time to build something very strong (sounds golem like) and gives you a attack or defend ship stats bonus (2 % more damage? and such things) or economic bonus (sounds zenith power generator like)

First , if you are filthy rich in all resources (which you should never be) but at least like 100 k of each resource, you can start investing in this long term "structure" like thing, when you are done, you get a cool thing , i know, sounds JUST like the zenith trader goodies, but i believe such as other people suggested before such as maybe knowledge like unlockables you can default build to unlock other "skill" trees.

something else, how about when unlocking you also have to pay some resource to get the technology or you have to invest on researching and it takes place over time?

Hmm, something that directly makes players think about the long term would be really cool! Something like:

Cordon Off Production
diverts all extractors on a planet into a separate bank (that you don't get access to right away). After X minutes of collecting, the resources are dumped into the main bank to use. The advantage is that during this time, the extractors in question produce more resources/second (perhaps 25-50%).

Or, a new type of starship
This starship initially costs as much as a regular one, but is weak. However, it is under improvement when in hostile territory (which makes its stats go up), so the longer you can keep it alive and in battle the better investment it becomes.
Avid League player and apparently back from the dead!

If we weren't going for your money, you wouldn't have gotten as much value for it!

Oh, wait... *causation loop detonates*

yah, it will be the time when you get a decent start on your conquest and when you're thinking about deep raiding

this will also be useful when attacking core command station, having an command carrier with awesome stats and long time to build costing a lot of resources would be cool.

I think the super fortresses, Golems, etc and so forth take enough resources as is.  Don't see the need, but maybe an idea is there in the works, hard to say.

Problem

The BIG problem with long time ress investmant is that Ai war is a game where you can take yourselve some time to build up. so every stukture can be build quite in a mass and so bonusses become stronger and stronger till they lead to a turtl tactik where they player sits 1-2 houers only whatsching his econemy build up and doing nothing else.

So long term investmants shoudn't give you more ress or more energy or more ships, but other things ^^.

Perhaps in the econ Tap in the build menue ther can be a Logisticcenter, what has no cap costs
300K / 300K / 0 Energy some build time and hase a % modifyer making it only giing good bonuses at 10-15 building in the system, and making you engeniers have a better Pionir rate, lets you ships travel faster in systems you own, making you engeniers jup though all your systems that are connectet to help repairing, give you the abilety to build train stations for yous transports to take then into shuttel servise, and so on..

perhaps all 5 building 1 new Logistic breaktrough, when your Techs in the buildings manage your empire a bit better.

at the down side the AI shoud get 50 Proces for each killed Station, and an X Modifier on the waves aganst the system where X is the number of these Station in the system, and a special wave all 2h aganst the system to shut the Logistics down. that comes as CPA when the system has no mor connected AI systems but in this special CPA the AI get the ships from the wave span Pool and dos't use the standing around ships.

When the Game gets more Funktions we choud implement all the controll Nodes in such a Long time to build Stukture, so you buil your Empire but althou your Ligistik Struktures up that allouws you to get sometime some realy helfull skills for you Empire.

ok Cost are to discuss, and how many skills you get erly ^^ and what are the Skills everyone whant and we can hide behind a 50+ Stations wall so you realy don't get them till latest game.

k, skills but a massive starship is still good (doesn't skills still encourage camping turtling?
