does AI war 3.0.6.0 zenith rem work great in win7?

yeah kinda got the whole question in the subject line there. i'm working on making a new super gaming puter and i was gonna upgrade my OS to win 7 cause i've been told Win 7 has better security than win xp does.

I just want to be sure that games i like to play wont have any problems playing in Win 7... we all know too well that Microsoft is so damn good at making new OS's work from the OS issuing date huh LOL

Yep, it works great. I run it on both Win7 64bit and WinXP 32bit and there is no functional difference between them. I believe the primary dev for the game is using Win7 also, so it is very well supported.

There is a small problem with not seeing LAN games on Hamachi (easily fixable by using direct connect). But that's an issue with Windows 7, as it happens with most other games and Hamachi.

Otherwise AI War runs flawlessly. I have it running on my Windows 7 netbook without any problems (other than the fact it's a netbook )

I never liked Windows very much, being brought up on a mac, but I have to say that Win7 is so far the best os I have tried. I had the Release Candidate for a year, and it managed to play some very old games that Vista routinely rejected (like MythII: Soulblighter). AIWar works very well on Win7, I got the game around Christmas and have played it almost daily ever since, and it has crashed on me only two times. I know of no other software/os combination that is so stable (with the possible exception of Dawn of Discovery, which has only crashed on me once).

As for the better security over XP, I wouldn't know--I can assume there are a few advantages (even assuming you're not going to use the default Windows Defender/Firewall), but viruses still pose a problem as to all OSes.

Though personally I have not run into a single virus that has dealt me significant issues for at least half a year, whether that be PC awareness or luck.

Arcen provides a demo, if you want to try it out before buying. You could probably catch any major bugs that would be apparent right away.

hey thanks everyone I'll get win 7 installed on my new gaming computer. I can always put both Xp and win7 on 2 digital drives on the same hard drive and test them out with the games... seeing as hard drives now-a-days are in the Tera-byes range now for around $ 100.00 US. I should more than enough room on a HD to run both OS's with room to spare in both digital drives huh?

Mikey, you might find it relevant that Chris (the designer and developer, not to mention CEO) runs Win7, so I think AI War probably runs ok on Win7
