new galaxy tab: Interplanetary effects
« on: August 04, 2011, 10:32:25 am »
A new map tab to isolate units that can effect other planets. Like P - Armor or raid engines. Just so they pop up easier.

Would this be useful to other people? I know I should do a mantis report, etc. but I don't want to if it is just me because I'm lazy but honest.
Life is short. Have fun.

This sounds like a good idea, and I believe its certainly something that should be posted onto mantis

I like this idea. I think someone should put this on mantis.
I didn't know that Planetary armor boosters/inhibitors had any effect on other planets however, are you sure?

Regardless, include Planetary effects tab as well (gravity drill, spacetime manipulater, eye, (ion cannons if they ever get buffed) planetary armor mods, black hole machine, etc)

I remember there being two distinct versions. One is for one planet which human players can build through z-trader and is more common. The other covers itself and the nearby planets, found in deep ai space and costly in aip to break directly. You might as well take the world yourself since it is the same aip cost and then you can have it.

I bring this whole idea up because raid engines always, always, always sneak up on me. It is a blind-spot of mine, without this tab.

Ah, I see, That explains it.

Well, I know that if it were implemented, you would still have to scout the raid engine, or it would not show up. However, it would  help me a lot as well...
