From my experience (and some very rough and likely inaccurate math), the average normal steam card is worth somewhere between 7 and 12 cents.

Sins Rebellion, with a massive 15 card-set, costs ~5 euro cents per card.
On the other end of the scale, Casey's Revenge of the Titans is a 5 card-set that costs ~16 cents per card.
The Bridge is a 6-card set, and yields around ~12 cents.
The equilibrium price for an entire set after the IPO is thus in the vicinity of 75 cents, assuming that a sufficient number of people want to collect it. This is stabilised by a fixed value of the badge at 100XP. I pegged this estimate of 75 cents ballpark from the total number of games that I own with trading cards.

As a secondary effect, for games like Skulls of the Shogun, the set price is more like 55 cents. It's highly likely, judging by the game itself, that few people want to collect the set. At the opposite end of the spectrum, Path of Exile commands an absurdly high price for its sets. Both are low circulation sets with high imbalance of sellers and buyers, I should modify the last post by saying "the number and kind of owners, and their response to the game".

Eh, try Mabinogi, Ragnarok Online, or Agarest Zero...

And F2P games DO command higher price, especially those that don't have that many players, since card only drop for them if you spend money on the game itself...

While the game itself is free, the business model actively encourages the players who would pay to look cool. While it's difficult to make sure connections, I would judge it to be the kind of game in which the buyers want to buy for prestige reasons, rather than XP reasons.

NB: PoE cards are individually between 18 to 31 euro cents. And yes, they will drop for you iff you purchase in game currency, hence players attach more value to their cards.

Oh right.  F2P games' cards only drop if you buy in-game currency, I forgot about that.

To wit, I still have my AI War executable as separate form Steam.

It's one of the few game that has evaded assimilation.

Thrilled to get cards.  Though, I would have thought the Advanced Factory would be the Level 4 badge...
I don't think I've ever seen as many people 'playing' AI War as I've seen today  :P

Same here, though, I do have many games that aren't on Steam.

Opened your save. My computer wept. Switched to the ST planet and ship icons filled my screen, so I zoomed out. Game told me that it _was_ totally zoomed out. You could seriously walk from one end of the inner grav well to the other without getting your feet cold.

I'm not sure the achievement system was a good system, but I like it better than the trading card system.
