How do you queue movement/attack orders?
« on: November 25, 2009, 11:44:15 am »
The wiki mentions it just once, but nowhere can I find out how do to do it.  It'd be nice to know how to queue up movement orders so that factories several jumps away can be pumping out units that eventually come to the front lines on their own, rather than having to personally go to each planet and ferry whatever ships are there to the next wormhole.  Same with queueing movement orders for a fleet to skip past a low priority enemy to get to the high priority one I'm attacking.  Thanks.

By holding shift, you can string together whatever orders you wish, be they movement, attack, repair, assist, or wormhole commands. You can even specify attack move or FRD mode for each individual command in the queue. It sounds like you're also interested in setting constructor gatherpoints that are many planets away; this can be done by selecting the constructor, going to the galaxy map, and right clicking on the planet you wish to set as the gatherpoint.
