Whew.

The game didn't look too bad at first glance. We have a large fleet, the target is just 2 hops away.. let's clear up and retake that, get some more preparations for the attack, we have some time, right? BOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!!!!! Whaaaat? It's just 8:07:20 on the clock! How am I even supposed to...?
Okay, we can do this. 80m HP you say? Let's build Rams. Turns out, Rams one-shot those things. They can also be cloaked, for whatever reason. After one failed attempt I manage to sneak two Rams up to the Converter, and it is destroyed at :04:32.



The hybrid escaped again... but the pressure is off for a while. Time to pick up that Botnet. The ARS that came with the Botnet turned out to be Armor Boosters, thouroughly unexciting. Repairing, repairing... done at 8:33. Soon after that a rebel colony appears waaaay of in the southwest corner, on a yet unscouted planet. Bummer. Continued scouting for hybrid reveals its position at Madicsav to the east, building another antagonizer. Time to take my deserved ARS on Murdoch, I guess. Botnet makes taking planets easier, but there's still a hell of a lot of stuff it can't shoot at. The ARS is Raptors, even less exciting, but there's no time to hack - the antagonizer is already up at 9:02. I decide to go to the hybrid through Hasumis, which was probably a mistake - even though it had some stuff we could use in the future (an Artillery Golem and a Civilian Leader), dealing with the Eye took way too much time. Finally at 9:36 I get up in the hybrid's face with the Rams. It is super effective.



Victory??? Wait, there's two more of them! Not again... And there's but an hour left on the colony's timer, have to rush down there. By 10:00 I finish cleaning up Heve, and there's FOUR super-hybrids already? Geez, let's hope they don't each start building their own antagonizers.

To Keith: Is this game just completely FUBAR and it shows? First 0-ship CPA's, now I keep getting only 100-ship waves at 200 AIP.  :)

To Everyone: You have a bit less than 45 minutes, keep pushing down, this should be enough time. Oh, yeah, freeing the rebel colony will very likely alert a core world. Minor detail, heh. Now I actually am not sure if we should even bother with that, as we could really use the time to do something else :D Hybrids are all over the place god knows where. Use Cloakers + Rams to destroy them and their structures. Watch out for hybrid attacks from Tunehas, they destroyerd Mikdesne twice already while I wasn't looking. We probably need another golem to clean up after Botnet, Cursed might be a good one to get. It's all up to you, good luck! You'll need it.  ;)

There is a bug making the handicap more severe than it's supposed to be (that's fixed for the next version) but in general the AI's being on -300% handicap kinda guts the waves and CPAs compared to what they would be :)

Congratulations on the progress.  Odd that I didn't think of Rams at the time.  Sounds more efficient than the penetrators, at least.

IMO, almost always. Perhaps it's a "bug" that Rams can be cloaked? :P

Notes:

As I begin…
For some reason, all the reactors are on when I load the game. Better turn those off.



We have four super hybrids going bananas.

Taking some asteroids for jump ships, martyrs, and rams. The idea is jumping in a strike team to eliminate some of these hybrids.

Off the bat, I take heve and research more scouts.




10:08: hybrid signal detected in the galaxy. Potentially three more on the way. I'm still looking for these things.

10:09: another hybrid signal…

10:11 4 hybrid signals…

10:13 enclaves coordinating strikes on three planets

10:22 intercepted warhead from botnet planet

I ended 10:35. Things are out of control at this point. I can't get deep enough to all four areas, let alone find them.
