No. Space Planes have a speed of 172 and Mark I Scout Starships have 250. Mark IIs have 490 and Mark II and IV 730.

I stand corrected, Sniper Turrets ignore radar dampening but other snipers don't. Derp.

If you put a scout starship in the Space Plane control group and use the CTRLS pane to make them group move, they'll stay together.

I tried using Decloakers with Space Planes but IIRC they would continue to shoot when powered down, and then get killed.

Yeah, I filed a mantis report when I first noticed: http://www.arcengames.com/mantisbt/view.php?id=12993

Just tried again, they still don't seem to respond to power down commands. 

Kind of frustrating, as the AI had raptors that game.
