alerts referring to planet "? ? ?"

Yesterday I encountered this issue numerous times: I had a raid alert, telling me that x ships were gonna attack me on planet "? ? ?" in y minutes.

1) I had attacked a planet with a human colony 10 minutes before they lost their invisibility protection, and I had taken out the AI command station, but not yet built my own. Then I got a wave warning for planet "? ? ?" and subsequently got attacked on this planet

2) After warding off this raid, I built my own command station. Then again I got the "? ? ?" warning, got attacked and lost my new planet.

3) Did it again: Went in, rebuilt my command station, got the "? ? ?" alert and lost my command station.

4) While rebuilding my fleet on an adjacent planet I got another "? ? ?" warning. The humans had regained their invisibility cloak, so I just ignored this, but then the AI decided to continue his offensive. So after a few minutes I found myself in a pretty tough fight on this adjacent planet, a fight that I lost, command station blown up. I withdrew to the next planet (two planets away from the human colony planet).

5) While rebuilding and contemplating what to do next I got another "? ? ?" alert. Being down on ressources I had no time to rebuild my fleet, so I rushed in the last reserves, my home garrison. But the AI just ran me over, destroyed another command station, and continued in the direction of my now defenseless home system.

6) Just before I decided that I had lost the game, it threw yet another "? ? ?" alert after me.

The game was consistent in this: Every time it mentioned planet "? ? ?" it was referring to the human colony planet, both before I owned it, while I owned it, and after I had lost it. At no time did the alerts mention the planets real name. Note: this was my second human colony in this game, the first one I took without any funny "? ? ?" alerts.

I have a lot of saves, if you want one. I am at work now, but I can upload it when I get back home.

Generally the ? ? ? alerts are for when you don't have a warp detector on the planet (not an advanced warp detector; generally a command station is sufficient).  Do you have a save for when you had a command station on the planet and it was showing a ? ? ? warning?

Okay, I am playing a new game on the same map, and it seems everything works as designed. When there is no command station at all on a planet, the alerts refer to planet ? ? ?, but when I build one, it refers to the planet all right. So what I thought was a bug is wad. Thanks for the explanation.  :)
