Maybe the AI cornered humans to the unexplored part of the universe before the situation where the game starts. Or maybe the AI just blew up humans' every computer and book with info on the galaxy and you start without the knowledge. Or maybe, like Keith suggested, you can't be sure how the wormholes connect. Let's assume that one game in AI War takes a few years of Earth time. What if the wormholes are temporary and shift around every few ten years or whatever. Even if humans had been around for ages, they would still need to be constantly scouting the wormholes all the time and never know for sure where the wormholes go the next day. Or maybe...

Y'know, it's really a matter of thinking up a scenario.

Maybe the player just wants to make a game a bit different and couldn't care less for the lore and logic behind the option, if it just makes things more interesting. ;)

Hi Hellish Fiend, I have a nomination for next week, where do I post it? If I post it here, will you remember it, or shall I post it again next week? Please answer

This is the nomination: Inverse selection of damaged ships

As long as you'll be here, you can just wait for next week's nomination topic and post it when it shows up. If for whatever reason you wont be able to get on the forum during that week, send it to me in a private message, and I'll make sure it gets added to the list!

Fortess and MRS got my vote. :)

Woul love to see something more happening to the MRS, like FRD mode so it can be used easier.

Yea, we're planning to work on the MRS soon (it won a previous poll), just a lot of stuff going on.

fyi, the humans has been in this galaxy for like , few thousands of years, THEY KNOW WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE

Not  if they were incapacitated while enslaved and taken someplace else.

Okay, looks like the results are in. Both the clickable alerts, and the invisible-until-scouted galaxies make sense to me. The scouting thing will probably need some new scout functions such as a "go to nearest unexplored planet" or "go to random unexplored planet." Otherwise that one will just be crazy tedious to play with. Also please note that this would be a default-off option, so nobody needs to freak out about it.

I'll be working on the clickable alerts and non-revealed galaxy structure thing soon.

Actually, I need to pull back a bit from the normal suggestion discussions so I can focus my fairly limited time on the endgame stuff and the actual DLC poll winners, so if y'all don't hear from me as much that's why :)
