attack warnings?
« on: February 13, 2013, 04:25:31 pm »
Is there a way to adjust a warning if a specific system is attacked?
I just got killed off a second time although I had a heavy defended homesystem because I was defending an other spot and simply didn't know of the other attack.
I know there is al list of any attacked planets, but especialy in the late game there are (anytime) at least 3 systems under (mostly harmless) attack, I really could need a configurable list of systems I consider important which are triggering a warning if any enemy ship is visiting them (until know I lost one advanced factory and countless fabricators because I had no chance to react).

Go to the planetary view of your target planet, CTRLS in the bottom right, planetary settings, and then put a non-0 number into "Alert when # of enemy units present."

The alert is text-only, and appears in the upper-left of any planetary view iff that number or more enemy ships is attacking.

If warheads can't solve it, use more warheads.

Wow, I actually didn't know that. Pretty useful, thanks.
I can already tell this is going to be a roller coaster ride of disappointment.

Welcome to the forums and to the game :)

Yea, the configurable alerts were added a while ago as a community request.  So were the garrison controls, though I think those get a lot less use; harder to get doing quite what you'd want.

You can also look at the top of the screen where it says Planets: x1/x2, where x2 is the number of planets you hold and x1 are any planets with enemy ships on them.  If you hover the cursor over x1, it will give you the planet name and the number of enemy ships on that planet if I'm not mistaken.
