AI Eyes

So AI eyes are nifty, but i find that they show up WAY to often, is there a way to reduce how many show up? I find them more irritatingly tedious than anything else, extremely irritating when i have to deal with them almost every other planet.  -.-

What are the AIs you are playing against?  Some spawn more than others, some less.  Generally defensive AIs spawn more Eyes.

Also, you may be fearing Eyes too much.  Sometimes if just doesn't matter if you trigger them.  Ion Eyes, for example, can be ignored if you have some high cap ships to absorb loses.  Parasite Eyes can be ignored if you have a decent amount of reclamation immunity.  It varies quite a bit, but you may find sometimes trigger an Eye isn't the end of the world (Nuclear Eyes being an exception).  In other words, don't let the tooltip scare you, experiment with what is possible.

I do believe there is a cheat to remove Eyes, if you want to go that route.

Are you playing against a Turtle, by any chance? They love their eyes.
If warheads can't solve it, use more warheads.

There's a quote from Keith about eye spawn frequency by AI type on the wiki, here.  In particular, "Mad Bombers, Neinzul Youngsters, Vicious Raiders, Extreme Raiders, Technologist Raiders, Scorched Earth, Attritioners, The Tanks, and The Cores all get half the normal amount."  When attacking your second AI homeworld you might consider a nuke, which will destroy an eye (oh right, that changed in 6.002) (and also remove supply, disabling Fortresses).

Edit: ROFL, just noticed your name sounds like "Major-Eye"  :P

Core Eyes are nuke immune. Still often worth nuking the second HW, though.
If warheads can't solve it, use more warheads.

Might even be worth nuking the first as well if you can take the other one out quickly enough afterward, but that's a pretty big risk.
I can already tell this is going to be a roller coaster ride of disappointment.
