Keith, did you add a new Subcommander Command station type when we weren't looking? A LANCE Command Station? Or have I just never seen one before in all the months I've been playing?
It's just been hiding out ever since you got VotM :)

Sorry for keeping asking silly questions, but I was enlisted for a beta testing, so I keep asking silly questions.

Is the exodian blade expected to do something special with exogalactic wormholes? (except poping out the AI Home Command Station) The "Exodian Blade Activated" journal entry let think it would do something, but mine did nothing special (except poping out the AI HCS in no time).
Please excuse my english: I'm not a native speaker. Don't hesitate to correct me.

You need to get it actually touching the wormhole, while the AI Home Command Station is still intact.  The latter requirement may be revised to "a wormhole that had an AI HCS when the blade was activated", as folks seem to be killing it too fast :)

You gave me a big gun and now you said "don't play with it"?!? Quite unusual not to kill the usual game's main target.

Well, I just made it (thanks to the sandbox mode)... and re-read the Exodian Blade Activated message. Indeed, it was "an exogalactic wormhole still guarded by [an AI Home Command Station]". So my bad. Entierely. I apologize. I'm a jerk.

But... Why?
Roleplay: why can't the exodian blade cross the wormhole without the command station?
Gameplay: why can't I have fun kicking the AI in the teeth a last time before saying good bye?

A last remark. This ending is a bit... abrupt. I don't know how to change this. A little longer last journal message? Well, the last rush-through-a-swarm-of-angry-AI-ships was fun. Maybe it's just me and/or the sandbox mode.

A last-last remark. How just crossing the exogalactic wormhole with the exodian blade makes the... oops, spoil was near. Well, It's "destroyer of worlds", nobody would have been spoiled, right? Well, how *this* do *that*? Instantaneously? With no explanation about how in the last journal entry. Well, maybe that's really why I think this ending is a bit abrupt: a so verbose explanation (and god knows I love that sort of verbose lore explanation) when you find the exodian blade, and at the end, nothing.

Can't you polish this a bit?
pleeease *.*

Played a bit of Nomads on 10 and this changes everything.  I can't imagine playing with it disabled anymore.

I'd agree with pumpkin. It is an awesome result, but its also very...abrupt. Perhaps have some sort of surprised description from Space Telemetry command?

"In other news, commander, the spare underwear storage unit is in dire need of resupply."

I don't know if this has been mentioned on the forum yet, but there's two saves on it showing the wonky Nomad ship pathing. In mine, ships avoid going to a world I control in order to go through an AI held Nomad instead, in order to get to the same place in the same number of hops.

Bit wacky. :)

If there was an answer to my question earlier, I missed it.
Sorry, I thought it was clear from other posts, but possibly only in my own head :)

The altplanetnames thing overwrote the Nomad 1, etc names, so it didn't have a Nomad 1 to put the beacon on, so there's nothing for you to hack in that game.  When I fix Nomads to not get overwritten it should work for future games.

@pumpkin: it shouldn't have done the split; do you have a save from before the detonation?  On the time of how long it has to be held, it's based on distance-to-target so it can actually be quite fast if you time it right.  Also, the exos don't trigger while the beacon remains on any nomad.  The rest is left as an exercise for the reader :)

I don't see how that would have become clear since nobody else mentioned it. (At least as far I can tell.) Does this mean I need to restart that game? I'm doing rather well though...

You'd only need to restart if you want to have the beacon in the game.  I'd say play that one through and then see what the beacon does in the next game :)

Speaking of the Beacon, it didn't work in my game. I got it hacked and rebuild, with enough energy, but it get stuck at 100%.

Long game, I might do an AAR about it.

Interestingly too, nomads planets don't ever link between themselves.

Correct.  That is working-as-intended.

The Exodian blade has the same problem for me (see save from my post above). It get stuck at 100% and refuse to metamorphosis, despite having 2.5 millions energy to spare.

also, I got the periodic 30min for the exodian blade the first time I started repairing it... which mean that I get exo-galatic waves for no advantage whatsoever, plus sinking the resource.

Dammit >_<

The AI pervert tactics hit again.

Wohoo, I just found an Exogalactic Strikeforce Guard Post and spent all my money bringing it online!
