How does the game behave with disabled AI's text file currently?
Would it be possible for it to add those to already existing file as comments if they weren't found in it?
It never writes to that file; I guess it could do so but I'd rather it not have to inspect it for commented-out lines, etc.
Could you make it create new one from scratch if it's not present with all commented lines?
Would give us proper list of all AI's on demand.

Is it a bug or is there something very obvious I missed?

Sandbox (1/1) with nomade and Exodian Blade:
Just found and repaired the Broken Exodian Blade (read the lore: "Oh my god, the AI is... Oh my... Ohhh...") and all I have now is exogalactic attacks every *** minutes (wait, is this really a spoil?) but nothing more. No new journal entry, no clue about what the exodian blade is able to do or what am I supposed to do now.

Wohoo, I just found an Exogalactic Strikeforce Guard Post and spent all my money bringing it online!
I rephrase my question: "am I stupid?"
Please excuse my english: I'm not a native speaker. Don't hesitate to correct me.

I guess I'd rather have it have an export function for just getting all the internal names, rather than conflating it with that feature.

ForegroundObjectType is already accessible through the reference export, but there's:

MapStyle
AIType
AIMinorFactionType
AIPlotType

Anything else?

The journal you get when the repairs are complete tries to be pretty explicit about what you need to immediately go and do.  Perhaps I need to add a clearer note to it :)

"The journal you get when the repairs are complete"... which one? My last journal entry is "Exodian Blade Revealed", and got it when I found the EB. Now the EB is repaired, and I got no further clue, only the exogalactic strikeforces. Does my saved game be of interest to you?

Sure, you could attach it here (Additional Options under the post textbox) or post it on mantis.

It's supposed to have given you a further journal entry.

Btw, on the lightning starship and translocator starship I'm open to switching them with different mechanics if it's something not very complicated (no modules, etc).  They're admittedly less "new" than the NCC or Powerslaver.  But I didn't think everything needed to be radically different, etc.

Only quickly played a bit yesterday night and so far I think I'll have to continue to leave swallowers off since starship swallowers break my fun so hard and now it looks like powerslavers will do the same. The first one shots hundreds of thousands of resource and it looks like the second will attack my ship cap for really long periods of time. No thanks.

The new lightning and drone starships both look really fun and useful on first try, although the droner will likely need a bit more balancing.

I could also see myself building strategies around the translocator. Seems like it would be useful for shard recovery, for defense, or in combo with some other long range bonus ships. It's really not too exciting on it's own though.

If you're looking for a quick idea for a starship you could make a limited supply starship. Gives enough supply to a planet for turrets, but not for other structures (so no forcefields, forts, constructors, etc).

The nomad beacon seems to be able to move, accordingly to the "beacon captured" journal entry. But I still have a repaired "Broken Nomad Beacon", unable to move. Still need a save?

A save would be good, yes.  Very strange, some of these things, as it went very different in my testing.  But that's a big part of why we do a beta :)

Were the first two saves useful?

Haven't gotten to looking at them yet, currently making stuff in maws/powerslavers not count against ship cap (but die on exit if there's not enough cap for them left), but will get to them soon.  Thanks :)

They were so happy that Robin's minstrels no longer counted against their bard cap.

That could really mess some people up.  Especially those like me, who keep space docks on auto-repeat.

If a ship gets swallowed and my dock starts building a new one and has it complete before I can rescue the original (still at 80% health) I'm going to be a little annoyed.
