If you're interested in the story line of the album, just read the story lines in the AI War Wikis for each expansion. It tries to follow the history of AI War.

You did a very good job with it. The album... flows, for lack of a better word, and is excellent.

Does anyone know if there's a 'skip to next song' key-press command in AIWar?  I'd like to just loop on the new ones for a while but 'skip' would work too.

Yes, I wanted to listen to the new tunes while I argue with getting myself out of this china level hole I dug in my AAR.  :)
... and then we'll have cake.

AFAIK, there is no "skip track" command, though there should be. You can pause, disable music, and then reenable it for the same effect, but that is a little inconvienient.
If warheads can't solve it, use more warheads.

Have bandcamp running in the background with the in-game music disabled?

I like how a lot of the songs have "wake up" moments. AI Revolution especially.

I've been a long time fan of AI:W (have all expansions and Ancient Shadows in beta), Arcengames, and definitely the music in all of their games.  This album is amazing.  Day 1 purchase for me ;)

Suggestion, add this link to the Ancient Shadows page if it isn't already, with big fancy arrows pointing to it and saying "This is awesome, you can buy the soundtrack or preview every song here." Just saying, because I saw the little music previews there, but the bandcamp page is very much superior to that.

Including the soundtrack from Ancient Shadows, does anyone how many total songs the game has to choose from?  Also does it choose randomly?

Lastly, would it be possible to incorporate a "next" and "previous" feature?  For example if you pressed Shift+Arrow Key Left it would go to the previous song, and Shift + Arrow Key Right would go to the next song.

There are a total of 56 tracks in the game now. This is including the five title tracks and special songs (like the chase music).

I'd have to check again sometime but has the chase music ever actually worked? I can't remember ever actually hearing it in-game.

I think I gave my (idiotic, irritating, poor-excuse-for-a-blob-of-goo-let-alone-a-human-being) neighbors an interrupted night of sleep, listening to these over and over at high volume.

I do not believe it currently does. Which is a shame since it's a good song.
I can already tell this is going to be a roller coaster ride of disappointment.

I just had a CPA and two max-time waves hit the same planet at more or less at once (the CPA decided for some reason to mostly go to the same planet). The result was about 3000 ships entering. As soon as they do, the big "BUM" from the intro of Arise Sleeping Warriors starts up (which was featured in the trailer). It was an epic intro to an epic song for a epic fight. I know it was coincidence that this happened, but wow, that song really fit what was going on, and really helped to draw me into the "OMG TEH EPICS" mood.

Amazing work Pablo!

P.S. Anyone else reminded of the "Inception sound" by the intro of that song?
