FRD'd engineers and golems

Hey guys,

I find the control option to set all engineers to auto-frd quite useful in managing my empire. However I've had to turn it off in my current game because my engineers kept trying to repair a golem that I'm not ready to use. This creates quite a chore of individually ctrl-ving all my engineers in every other system. Is there an option so that engineers won't auto-repair golems unless told to? Or could this perhaps be added?

What version of the game are you using?  I think on the latest betas it already automatically avoids the golems.  If not, if you could post a mantis issue with a save, that would be really useful.  Thanks!

I can post a mantis report with a savegame from 4.059 where it does happen. However I am not sure if you are refering to 4.060 or are saying it should already not be happening in 4.059. Can you elaborate, I wouldnt like being the one spamming the mantis boards ..

It should have been working well before 4.059, so if it wasn't, please do post on mantis.  Thanks!

Sorry, not quite sure what a mantis issue is - but I'm running the latest 4.060 and it's still happening. (though I think I started the game pre 4.059, if that makes a difference)

Should FRD engies be auto-assisting Trader items? Because I thought I read something about that in the release notes, but iirc in .59 stuff like a ZPG was still being assisted. Maybe I totally imagined that fix.
