I just need to figure out a way to get those 700 dyson gatlings at my home  to spread a bit. They could guard pretty much entire galaxy by themselves at this point
Maybe when you pick the Dyson it needs to change out the title logo:

'Dyson Stomps The AI' ... War

;)

Counter attack wave gets mowned down by spider turrets + ion cannons(lucky mark IV on the world + II) + artillery golem.  Capturing  ion cannons certainly helps a lot when you have to defend every planet you have. CPA wave... doesn't even fully arrive, not sure what happened, 1200 ships released and i hardly notice it. Third of them never came through if i remember pre-wave threat levels right.

'Dyson Stomps The AI' ... War

Yeah that is pretty much what happened.

I had between 10 to 180 gatlings on all my planets, besides deadend planets. I decide to go on all out offense and steamroll 4 planets and get to ars next to coreworld. One of these planets had about 60 MK1 ships so it didn't take long. Etherjets, missile frigate fab and youngling tiger fab acquired. 5 martyrs and some soft golem action later first core world falls. I get bit of an shock in the first home world when all the guard posts and guardians are Artillery immune . Good thing i had 3 artillery golems. Oh well at least forcefields died fast. There was roach core post here and i was supposed to bring 5 attritioners to test how that would play out but apparently they don't count as military and were left waaay behind. Didn't matter much in the end, it goes pretty smoothly, only hiccup was when the  avenger showed up and i lost 2000 ships to its explosion, still i figured i had enough after that to immeddiately go after next home and that is  what happened. the end.

After i got dysons to cover enough of my stuff to not have to worry about defense at all, the game became bit uninteresting. I started losing less ships so my economy went banans. My economy got so good i could build golems and spirecraft very fast. More golems and spirecraft less units i lost, faster i could build them and the less time enemy had to recover.

Golems medium seemed harder option than golems hard. Maybe  because i pause a lot and play fast the exos don't happen all that often and in this case i barely had to defend against them anyway.

I think offensively crosshatch is probably the easiest maptype out there. Everything is so well connected , all the targets of value are few hops away and you can approach them from different angles. Makes getting them easy and keeps aip low. Also you put so many worlds in alert all the time that their reinforcement times are overall are rather low(if i understood the mechanics right).

Defensively though... you have to defend every single planet, which is pretty rough.

Well ultimately what i learned from this was this : no more dyson.

soo... I don't get it. Did you win or lose?
And I agree with offensive and defensive. Taking over worlds is barely giving me trouble, while defending is a lot tougher.

Give it another chance in the next version, assuming I finish what I'm working on by then :)
