Zenith SpaceTime Manipulators
« on: August 19, 2011, 11:16:55 pm »
I need some clarification that i couldnt find via forum search (i got the impression they have changed a bit since they were introduced?) or the wiki.
Do they only affect the speed on the planet they were built? cause i just noticed some ships in systems without them that have speed boosts and as far as i can tell they arent suppose to.

thanks!

Just that planet, yes. Do you have logistical command stations on those other planets?

no, i still have never built one in all my games, lol. Must be a bug then?

Edit:
I just looked and all my planets that dont have the spheres on it my units have double speed.....

Edit 2:
even the new ones coming out of my ship building thingy have double speed (thought maybe the speed was sticking from passing through a planet with one of the time thingies).

I think all the command stations give 2x speed while the logistical gives 4x speed. Might be wrong though.

I don't think so all commands give speed boosts, but there might be other speed boost things, like speed boosters. I'm not sure what all units give that effect though, but there must be something.
I can already tell this is going to be a roller coaster ride of disappointment.

I thought it was weird that all my ships seemed to be going quicker until my friend told me about the command station tidbit. :P I don't think it told us about the speed boost bonus in the descriptions of the command stations before(or if it does now.)

Well, I know they damage force fields, I am not sure whether or not they damage ships under them, or if that damage is instead redirected to the force-field. Pretty sure they ignore them however, as i was unable to repair anything under the force-field on a planet when I set up a beachhead.

that actually was a different question, but good info i should have thought to ask, lol

What i meant is, if my attritioners are under my normal force fields, is their damage affected?

new question, is there a way to pick where the spire colony places the buildings the hub makes? I'm getting irritated with the random placement, lol.

Well, you can't change the placement.  The placement isn't random , it makes a ring of the buildings with the hub as the center point.
