High score calculation

So far I've unlocked two of the scoring achievements in my current game. But how exactly are the points calculated and/or what do they represent?

They represent stuff. 

On a more serious note, I don't really know exactly what goes into it. I know that building stuff (including what was seeded upon the generation of a new game) counts towards it, and killing stuff counts towards it. Other than that, I don't know.

I believe that X said once that he doesn't want to reveal it because it would just cause player to try to maximize their score instead of just playing. Just keep playing and it will go up, unless you are getting beaten up a bunch. Spirecraft and Golems decrease your score unless you're on hard mode.
