Ancient Shadows Champ question - newb level
« on: November 22, 2012, 03:20:20 pm »
Okay, I just can't for the life of me figure something out that's probably tragically simple!

So I have a champion ship, I go and get XP, level up, unlock modules.

How do I equip anything past MKII modules?  I've gotten my ship to level 14 or so before it just becomes impossible to achieve anything with MKII modules.

The reason I'm confused is going from MKI to MKII is straightforward enough.  I open up the advancement pane, pick the MKII module I want, confirm, go to the starship modules pane, equip it, and build.  MKIII+ modules however, don't show up.  I can unlock them with level up points, but they're not in the starship module pane to actually use.

The MKIII and above can only be equipped to a bigger size of ship. So you just have to be lucky enough to have unlocked the bigger ships. If you haven't, you can't use the MKII yet. I know it sucks when that happens :P

But isn't Destroyer class always unlocked upon completion of the second nebula?  I'd be surprised if anyone reached Level 14 before that.  Corseth, you need to select "Human Destroyer" or similar from the left-hand side of window where you apply modules.  Your ship won't actually upgrade to the larger hull until destroyed or scrapped.

I haven't played with a champion in a while, so that might've been fixed. I've had issues with unlocking bigger champions before, but that was a few weeks ago.
