Website Survey
« on: September 14, 2016, 08:33:51 pm »
https://arcengames.com/limesurvey/index.php/685952?lang=en

I have created a website survey that contains some questions about the various parts of the website with the intention of learning what people think we need to focus on, alter, and/or add to the website. All results are completely anonymous, so please be honest! :)

Registered for but haven't gotten the link for the survey.  The test runs sent the link out pretty quickly.

Opened your save. My computer wept. Switched to the ST planet and ship icons filled my screen, so I zoomed out. Game told me that it _was_ totally zoomed out. You could seriously walk from one end of the inner grav well to the other without getting your feet cold.

I got a few kickbacks from email providers, so I'm switching the email settings back to known safe values. The link has been updated and you should be able to take it. Sorry about this. Its still in beta :P

Better me find the bugs than someone else then ;)

Below is the only error I found.

I took that option to be "I freaking live there."  ;)

I updated the survey to not require you to register. I finally figured that bit out. So, now it really is fully anonymous. It doesn't record anything at all that I could trace back to you, but it will still set a cookie to stop you from taking it infinite times.

Cookies can be removed, right? (Intentionally or as a maintenance cleanup.) Is that enough? If someone would really want to mess up with  the system, he could be able to fill the survey multiple times by cleaning his cookies each time. Am I right?
Please excuse my english: I'm not a native speaker. Don't hesitate to correct me.

Yes, they can be removed at will. If someone did want to mess up the system, he could do that, yes. The only other real way of preventing access would be IP based, but I can change my IP at will, which means that some random person would lose the ability to take the survey. Cookies and tokens are the easiest method to use for stopping people from spamming the surveys.
