It's no longer available beneath a person's profile.

Is this about the Trump thread, because I really don't see why you would feel it is necessary to block Misery if that is what you are thinking. It is just one thread and you two just have different opinions.

I don't even see why this is a necessity at all. As long as someone does not spam entire threads just to annoy you, you can do the most vasic thing, that every human being can do: Just don't look at what it.
Blockign someone is just petty.

What, block Misery?!  No idea what happened, and I have no intention of going to look, but dang am I glad I ignored that thread.

But, Cyborg, if you really must block someone, you have several options.
To change back to the old, sidebar menu system:
1)  Go to your Profile Info summary page.
2)  Look on the right side, directly above the part of the screen with the Profile data.  There will be two little leftward pointing arrows there.
3)  Click on those arrows.  This will cause the page to reload.
4)  On the left side is the old Profile menu.  The "Buddies/Ignore List" option is listed there.

Or you can switch back by
1)  Go to your Profile Info page
2)  Mouse over the "Modify profile" option above the Profile data block on the upper left side.
3)  Select "Look and Layout Preferences"
4)  Check the checkbox for the "Use sidebar menus instead of dropdown menus when possible" option.

Or, for just this once, you can follow 1) and 2) above, then:
3)  Select the "Buddies/Ignore List" option.

What, block Misery?!

Some people I know would absolutely die laughing if they saw THIS reaction :D    I get blocked/ignored quite a bit actually.  Just not on THIS forum.  For whatever reason, people here usually tolerate me.  I've yet to figure out why.  Maybe I'm not being unpleasant enough.

Anyway, nothing anyone needs to worry about.  It's his choice, after all.   There's no harm done, no problems had.

I locked the offending topic, so that's one situation over.   It actually wasn't that bad of a thread though... it wasn't much different from the debates I've had with Wingflier about random topics.   Seriously seemed like a totally normal debate to me until that very end.   This is where the "I'm not good at spotting social things" bit rears it's ugly head for me.  I do hate when this sort of thing happens.

I rarely block anyone. If I do, it's for a good reason. This is not one. Blocking someone because he has another beliefs than you is just... damn.
I don't even block people in Dota and that ame is TOXIC as hell. You need to put on a gas mask before starting the game.

But this is just... petty. Someone does not agree with you? Blocked!

Does not surprise me however. When Cyborg mentioned he did this with Winglfier, I had to search this just to know what he means and while I don't share Wingfliers view of the things in that thread, blocking someone because of this is way over the top.

I personally only block people if they spam, flame or behave like a dick constantly.

I'm more into voodoo dolls of people on forums. Since it's of the username, there's a lot of scope for creativity!
