Good question.  I haven't actually met Raptor-Tron 2000.

Far Cry Blood Dragon is literally the best thing to come out of that franchise.

Though I WILL say, I do think that I'll have a way to turn into a velociraptor and rage around.

Good sir, velociraptors are noble and intelligent beasts.

If I believed in things like "spirit animals" and such nonsense, a raptor would be mine.  Or more likely a deinonychus.

isn't that sort of robotic? if so that's pretty rad now that I think about it theoretically having robotic types of creatures to encounter in the big wide world would be pretty sweet.

They're all dromaeosauridae.

Lol, where is this from? Is this areal thing or just a comic that mocks the whole romance fantasy manga thing?
Perfectly real!  :P

I probably shouldn't mention Monster Musume then.

Good sir, you don't have to inform me of the fact!  My issue with the velociraptor is actually that the movie representations of them were oversized, and I prefer the members of their group that are actually that size, heh.

It was my understanding the size was based upon Utahraptor ostrommaysorum. Which due to Wikipedia I can say with a straight face.

so are there going to be robotic dinosaurs at all? I feel that this game would be surely lacking if it didn't?.

There is something very primal about loving dinosaurs. I didn't think I would adore them so much. This has proven me wrong.
Life is short. Have fun.

Yeah, Utahraptor.  It would be my favorite for a variety of reasons -- and it is in Valley 1 or 2, I can't remember which -- but... that name.  So deinonychus it is, because the name sounds coolest.

A couple of points, though:

1. Dinosaurs are a really minor part of this in general.
2. There are a lot of other cool monsters, aliens, robots, and so on.  Most of them not humanoid, but some humanoid.
3. I'm not sure about robot dinos, but maybe.

Opened your save. My computer wept. Switched to the ST planet and ship icons filled my screen, so I zoomed out. Game told me that it _was_ totally zoomed out. You could seriously walk from one end of the inner grav well to the other without getting your feet cold.

I looked it up (quick search through the patch notes).  I played AVVW 1/2 a ton and didn't remember 100%.

Cool fact:  Utahraptor made an early beta appearance in AVVW2.  Placeholder graphic.
