What should happen when someone connects to you?
« on: September 21, 2010, 01:43:13 pm »
I was quite confused when I first tried to connect to others (and versa) in Tidalis due to the way that the lobby/matchmaking is set up; but I have most of it figured out by now but I'm curious as to understand if I'm doing it right:
- Post and search while waiting for the other to connect,
- Dialog comes up to accept connection,
- Nothing else shows (still in the server search box), the blue status indicator box near the bottom left doesn't display.

I'm worried about others wondering the same thing as initially tried to re-host again (which probably disconnects the other player); of course, until they figure out that the other person can send them game requests (I don't know if you can go back to the menu without d/cing the other person here).

Is it supposed to work like this--I'm focusing on the lack of indication that someone has successfully connected to you when you're hosting beyond the accept dialog.
I'd take a sea worm any time over a hundred emotionless spinning carriers.
