Trailer idea "borrowed" from the folk at Project Zomboid

(1/1)

Pepisolo:
Browsing the PZ forum I noticed this thread:

http://theindiestone.com/forums/index.php/topic/2622-help-us-with-the-pz-trailer/

Basically, the Indie Stone requested gameplay footage submissions that could potentially be used in the production of their official trailer. Could something like this be of help to Arcen? I'm thinking that if more footage were available to the trailer creator then the completed trailer would end up being of a higher quality. Also, presumably if the forumers were to help with the footage gathering then the trailer guy would also have more time to devote to the editing side, too.

Not sure if I could personally help with this as I don't know if my capturing set-up would produce videos of sufficient quality (I suspect it might). Just throwing the idea out there.

Love the PZ guys, know them fairly well.

We've actually asked for trailer footage as well as savegames with pretty much all our trailer work for the past few years.  We use lots of savegames from players who submit mantis tickets, for instance.  It tends to get a very little response from the forum members for whatever reason, although we did get some good stuff for I believe the 6th AI War trailer.

Oh, ok cool. Maybe the fact that you're open to receiving such help is not as prominent as it could be -- I certainly wasn't aware. This thread should help with that. Any guidelines on video quality/resolution etc?

x4000:
We've been doing all of the videos lately in 720p rather than 1080p, specifically because it makes it show up better when viewed non-maximized (otherwise things just get REALLY tiny).  So 720p resolution, with as high of quality as possible, is really the main thing.

Anyhow, thanks! :)

Pepisolo:
Cool. Sounds good. Hopefully you'll get a few submissions. Thanks!
