Still in the top 20. That's much better than the previous few Arcen titles as I recall.

As of now its #15 for me :).
I think Bionic was listed among the top 100 as well, but never made it to the first few pages (i.e. #30 or lower). I am curious what Chris and company will say about how the launch went for them...

Looks like it's doing well, but the game could drop like a stone, so they're not out of the woods yet, I guess. The good news is that TLF is still top of the new releases page. Their last few games would have been pushed down that list quite a lot by now. The launch timing was pretty great as far as that goes.

That does help get them visibility on the New releases on Steam, still it means that this metric isn't as representative of it's actual sales as it could be.

I do wish them well, totally.  I hope this game works out for them.  I'm really enjoying the hell out of it already.

  • I'm going to do what I do best: lecture her!
This game is also more expensive than Bionic was, so if it sells well that will bring in that much more income.

On the other hand it took them longer to make it - and thus more money. I still hope that the higher retail price will be able to make up for this, though ;)...

According to the Steamcharts chart it looks like it's doing decent numbers for an indie title.

Interesting charts. Apparently it's had a larger all time peak of players than all previous Arcen games. This despite the amount of press coverage so far being pretty low (post launch).

Edit: Oh, the charts only go back to July 2012, so a few of the games' launches are missed.

I wonder how much the many glowing reviews from the internal steam review system is helping this.

I think they really hit the jackpot on release dates as well. Especially lately, with so much shovelware crap and terrible old games showing up on Steam, the front page has been an endless flood of junk. Any gems among the dross are quickly shoved off the list by the next 10 casual crapware for kids games. But not much tends to release over the weekends, and so far nothing has pushed it down from the newest release spot. That's pretty rare.

Yeah, that might be making a difference. Reviews have been generally great.

That is insane. Still top of the new releases page! This will probably be an Arcen record for time spent on the new releases front page.

Press has been pretty terrible post launch so far -- I've barely been able to find much coverage, anyway. Still doing well, though, despite this. There might be a lot to learn from this launch once all the numbers are analyzed.

To be fair, there was less then a week from when the game finally came together and it was released. That is a very small window to get press builds out, have the game be played, wright a review, then publish.

If the game has yet to receive its main wave of press coverage then things are in an even better position. Once that hits, sales should get another bump. Hopefully.
