I do remember TotalBiscuit's review video had him also wonder exactly how the Evucks launched a disease across space and how the Acutians managed to get a rocket-propelled moon to the Hydrals home planet. I suspect he didn't see the story trailer video...

It's possible the moon was full of volatile material.  Since we have races colonize their moons and discover rare elements, the weaponized moon might have had a highly volatile fuel.  It's possibly they sent up unmanned automated probes that used the moons raw materials to construct the engines in hidden chambers, refine huge amounts of explosives, then launch the moon.  At least that's my theory.

If you launched rockets at the moon, in theory you could push its orbit into an elliptical shape, which then might get caught in another solar body's gravity well and flung out at just the right arch to hit the Hydral homeworld.  I don't think the picture in the video of the rockets strapped to the moon is entirely feasible. :)

It might be feasible if there were a source of fuel on the moon, like some sort of automated refinery. Although that would require a Titan-like moon, which probably aren't very common.

A much more practical plan would be to simply find an asteroid with a high velocity relative to the Hydral planet and nudge it into a collision course. That's not nearly as impressive-sounding as moving a moon, though, so I guess Rule of Cool is in effect.

EDIT: Now that I think about it some more, the moon would also have to be small enough that the reaction mass from the rockets would clear orbit, or else they wouldn't move the moon at all. And a moon that small wouldn't seem likely to have the necessary fuels, so yeah.
