hey folks,

Since reading the early design briefs you posted for this game i have been looking forward to seeing what you would all come up with. I have been trying to keep myself away from the Arcen site so as not to end up spoiling a game I am very excited about.

however, when i saw the game on Steam and the approaching release date it finally broke my resolve and i checked the Arcen website for a video of your new title... got to say I'm more excited than ever to get my hands on this.... particularly looking forward to the idea that my combat/mission actions have real meaning and consequence in the game-long bigger picture/grand strategy, and turn based ship combat in space with 'terrain' actually looks quite engaging and unique.

So just wanted to say best of luck with the release... and offer myself for 'more or less blind' testing if your still interested in new feedback. I'm running a linux system if you could use testers for the linux build. I have plenty of time this weekend and every evening this coming week to get into the game and give you some feeback..... and if i'm a bit late then no worries, and i look forward to the demo and then hopefully buying another great Arcen title.

Thanks all, I have you all on the backlog list now!  pallenda, since you have the week off, I will probably wait a little extra long with you (Mon/Tues, likely).  I still want first impressions during the week, but for a lot of people I know their main time is going to be this weekend.

I'd be happy to help test as well. I heard about the concept when it was first announced, loved the idea, but haven't actually followed any of the development. >.< So I guess that makes a good blind tester, but I love your guys work so it probably makes me a poor fan. ^_^

I run two distro's of Linux, Ubuntu/Fedora as well as Windows8 so I could test on all these OS's on both a desktop/laptop system, if that's helpful. I have the next 3 days off before I go back to work though where I'll have slightly limited time, but regardless I should be able to at least give it a solid poke.
