Is this supposed to happen?

Hey there,

Picked up the game during the recent steam sale, played part way through a game, enjoying it so far, even with the masses of bugs I've been encountering... But, something happened which I'm not sure about. Though, I can't tell if it's a bug or if I'm maybe missing something?

I was working on the relationship between the Skylaxians and Andors. They had multiple trade routes between each other and by the time I was done the Andors had a rating of at least 50 towards the Skylaxians and their rating was around 130 towards the Andors. Some time passed and I was working on other things when the Skylaxians declared war on the Acutians and then the Thoraxians at about the same time. I immediately went to the Skylaxians and got them to cease war with both. Went to work improving the relationship between the Skylaxians and Thoraxians... And shortly after there was a notification that "after a fruitful war" the Skylaxians had conquered the Andors' planet. Hadn't seen any fleet combat above the Andor planet, they'd had at least one armada and there was no notification of war having being declared in the log.

So... Is that something that happens? Is there something I'm missing or another log somewhere?

It wasn't the only time I'd encountered unexplained changes to the solar system/race relationships during the game, so just wondering if there's something hidden somewhere or if this sort of thing is just another bug.

Probably not? If you have a save to post for the devs to look at it would help.
Also, if you would list the bugs you found, or, if you want, add them to the mantis bugtracker, that would be great.

I'm not sure if it'll help, but there's an option in the settings menu to "show all logs", as the game defaults to only showing the major ones.  I ended up playing with this always on, as it saves me alot of confusion.... even small events can explain alot depending on what's going on.

It seems unlikely to me under normal circumstances - Skylaxians don't go to war randomly with people they like. Check with the detailed logs?

Thanks for the responses everyone. I'll see about submitting bug reports when I've got a free moment then (and I'll double check the logs, in case I did miss something).
