Author Topic: I think i might have found a savegame exploit for offensive abilities.  (Read 1515 times)

Has anyone noticed that when you load a mid-battle save that all the offensive abilities reset back to the ammo counts you had at the start of the battle ? was in an intense AFA battle that lasted over 130 turns before i died. but when i reloaded the most latest save i noticed i suddenly had all my abilities from the start of the match even though i'm 125 turns in. had 5 gigacannon shots even though i remember distinctly finishing up all the ammo around 40 turns in.

So to test it i purposely fired away all 5 shots and made a save just before the ability got replaced by something else. then made another save after the ability was replaced. when i reloaded the 2nd save i once again had 5 more gigacannon shots. pretty sure this isn't intended behavior.

could someone make a mantis report for me ? i cant exactly wrap my head around how to do it myself :(

It seems to only apply to the offensive ability. the fighter squadron abilities don't reset.
it might even only apply to the giga-canon. doing some more further tests i actually managed to fire around 15 shots. its definitely broken right now :(

Further Testing resets pretty much all the abilities other than the "operation" ones (the fighter ships). Pretty huge exploit really :(

Edit:- Thanks for mantising it for me Azurian :) Hopefully it gets resolved real soon.
