How to get the Boarine regent into having a defense priority?

All in the title.Trying to get the Boarines into conquering the galaxy.

Lowering some of their values (Eco, Public Order, Environment.) makes the regent change her behavior I think. I'm not sure what triggers a defensive priority however. Attacking them with another race could help, since the more the Boarines are at war the more aggressive they get.

Try bribing? I am unsure how the bribes work for them, but it could make the regent shift personality types like it does for the Thoraxians.

Yeah, some datamined info would be nice on those topics...I don't think bribes do anything for boarines, if I remember correctly. Unfortunately the wiki is not much of a help in that regard.

IIRC bribing the Boarines causes them to re-evaluate their focus more quickly.

No, that was the Thoraxians. Boarine priority gets updated every solar month (I actually managed to find it in the source code...) and bribing only raises how much they like you.

The defense priority is their default priority, so assassinating would spawn a new regent with that priority at least till the next solar month (and they probably won't like you). Another option is to lower their wellbeing in general (the function for that is a nightmare to look through with a headache, no offense to Keith and Chris!)
