Does someone have tips for the indigo dipole? I cannot finish the game with him.

The problem, for me, is, that the missile has such a strange behaviour. while the magnetic force is pretty straightforward, the problem is, most of the time the missile will explode too early and that the bullets won't keep the changed direction and opace and instead return to their old behaviour, turning a hard pattern into a nightmare (because now all the bullets spray back to you but all clustered together with no room to dodge).

I has similar trouble iirc.

For me, I yet have to win my second run ;).
First was using the flame tank mech.

Things are looking good using Green Envy, but I always get sloppy on floor 5 :P.
Also a single big room with 3 Flak-Whatevers and a Sideshot on Normal really is a tad mean ;).
Craving some more color and variety in your next Bionic run? Grab a boost and a couple of custom floors!

Started a Starward rogue LP Series. I want to play the game with every mech once, so there will be six videos int otal.

Keep in mind, I'm German, I talk German and I'm a non-professional Youtuber, so don't await any good quality. You can always just mute the sound if my talking get's too annoying.

I'm curious to know which mech was always a failure for your runs.
Which mechs do you rarely pick.
Please explain also, why this is the case.

So far all of my runs are failures. \o/ Got to floor 5 today (albeit with a use-item: skip floor!) and promptly died despite 16 health and 2 points of shields (that first room was distinctly Not Friendly).

Although I can tell you which mech I will likely never use again, and that's the time control one.  It's benefit (timestop) is one that I am just not set up to be able to process effectively, so its downsides just cripple me.

whenever I get to Invasion, it screws up my runs. I have the feeling it is now way over the top. It may have been too easy before, but this thing really screws me over EVERY time I see it.

Invader? Yeah, maybe I just don't understand the new concept, but those blue pulses keep me far far away, even if I sprint around like a madman.

Invader Blue Pulse -> See Galaga
Invader Stage 2 strategy -> Don't get greedy. Take a few shots in the clear. Then sprint around to the opposite side of the Invader, don't wait for the waves to get anywhere near you. Clean out the Spawns in between cycles. In the original version the blue waves reflected shots so you weren't so tempted to stay put and duel with it.

Here is a link to someone who catches on at the end. And then meets the Stage 3.

Hm, the only blue pulse I remember from Galaga could capture your ship and then you could rescue it with your next life to get a double ship! But I don't think that's what you meant here. :P

Maybe my positioning is wrong, because cleaning out the spawns inbetween cycles seemed completely out of the question. I used the test chamber to try some more, but clearly I'm missing something. Short of bruteforcing my way through that phase, I don't have any effective way to do it.

re:Galaga - Nope that's it. The key is you only have one life left. So in Galaga it would take your ship and ask for another quarter to save it.

re:Invader - Treat the entire 3 blue wave attack as a single cycle. Dodge not each wave, but each cycle to get your shots in. I typically run from all the way below him, to all the wave above. You need a really fast mech and good reflexes to skim between the waves. I don't. ;)

Also, if you find the playstyle  a bit rough, try the Brawler Mod. https://www.arcengames.com/forums/index.php/topic,18546.0.html

Well, I watched the video and went back to the text chamber. Managed to kill Invader two times. One time using the method the guy in the vid used, blowing up the side of the arena to get the advantage on the spawns (If he didn't have something to blow up that wall though, that guy was dead meat.) and a second time, leaving the walls intact. On that one, after a loooong time I scratched my way to the next phase, but honestly, without a missile available to blast a wall, I don't think the respawn rate on those blue minions is reasonable.

But I also want to mention how much I love that third phase, with that strong Tron vibe. :)
