Upcoming new boss video

I was bored, so I recorded the thing.  Figured.... why not?  There needs to be more footage of this game to show off.

I do need to take some time to do a full run and video that but I havent been able to yet.  Need to work out a couple of problems first.

that doesn't look to hard(granted the version ill fight will probably be tamer than that)  just beat the warden for the 3rd time today I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of the bosses on my next run.

That IS the version you'll be fighting.

It has no hard mode pattern yet.  Not for any specific reason; I just didn't get to it today.  Had spent enough time working on the game for one day.  Best that I dont overdo it.

Probably, I'll do the hard mode pattern tomorrow.

And I assume that by "fun!" what you actually mean is "!!FUN!!".   Classic Dwarf Fortress style.

That being said, it's not too hard of a boss.  Though as is typical for me it's made to be somewhat intimidating despite that.  It only took me one try to produce that video there, where I dont get hit at all, and with no real effort either.  With tough bosses it takes at least some effort and I may or may not crash into something.

Actually meant fun.  I see a lot of your other work coming out in it.  Hell, I even like Demesne.  Once I got used to your style of patterns, it's not always incredibly difficult (in normal).  I think I have perfect clears on all but maybe 3 bosses.  Practice actually paying off.

My YouTube channel.  There are 6 shorts showing, one for each mech, 2 long plays (one ending at Warden, the other at Terminus) and 2 showing some stuff I modded.  I'm adding to it as I stream more.

Looks pretty cool. However, the spawns look a lot like cockroaches. I'm not sure if that is good, bad, or hilarious.

The patterns look great, but I have one critique, and this applied for the invader boss as well: as the boss' health wasn't going down, I'd panic and worry that I wasn't fighting the boss right so I'd rush in closer to try and hit it from another angle, and get myself killed. Could there be some timer or some indication that what you have to do during those phases is wait out the attacks?

Some kind of marker on the health bar would do the trick, like a "boss shield" almost.

How about a padlock over the boss's health bar? Suitably glowly for that sci-fi feel.

The padlock idea sounds cool, but it'd give me the wrong impression - I'd start looking for something to break, or otherwise get distracted when I should be dodging bullets. The simplest indication I can think of is have the boss' health drain on its own, which would immediately tell me that oh, this segment is timed and I need to wait it out.
