I just discovered in my current run with the green envy that there's a max credit limit? do any of you think that's a good thing? it just seems inconvenient to me personally.

It serves two purposes:

1. Encouraging spending.  Use it or lose it!

2. Preventing any single-floor exploits that someone might have from being overly exploitable.  You can't just get a bajillion credits or something.

1 meh just seems un needed to me

2 fair enough I suppose over all I guess if you've got enough credits to encounter this then your probably at the point were you don't care about credits to much any more.
ps I noticed that stars is now out of the closet again(when I went into its forums by accident and got really confused at why people were calling star ward a strategy game) I guess that means you got enough money star ward to get onto stars then? I'm looking forward to getting back to business on that

Note that Isaac has a 99 cent limit for similar reasons (though that game is now beyond broken).

I think the credit limit is reasonable.  You can buy ~5 of any items without considering price.  The only time I hit it was playing the mech that gets money on some kills, so I had all the cash I could possibly desire.

Well, double credit drop from level-up x double credit drop from sacrifice shop (4x) equals more money than you have items to buy. It's not inconvenient to me, any more than backtracking would be to collect the coins later on the same floor.

You can also use the spare credits to buy extra xp if you're swimming in the stuff.  It's better than leaving them behind after all.
