The Bloody Warden (misery mode)
« on: March 09, 2016, 04:40:33 am »
THERE THE DAMN THING IS FINALLY FINISHED

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6cGOkBPd1ow

Uuuugh.

Yes, I was getting more than a little impatient in the video.  Got hit more than I should have.  I had already tested this countless times... kinda tired of it....  I dont even want to think about how many of those stupid turrets I destroyed.  I regret their existence.

And yes, I gave myself 50 HP.  Can you see why?

This is harder than it looks.

Okay, i go ahead and say, this thing is pretty much unbeatable (but Misery difficulty is unbeatable anyway, so that's fine).
Also I want to mention, I cannot imagin any run where you would get ever 50 together. To everyone who is crazy enough to try this difficult out: Good luck, where you are going, you will need it.

Well, technically I didn't get hit even close to enough to actually need 50 HP.

The actual reason was before the video, when I was getting *really* impatient and would just crash through half the shots in an attempt to get to which ever pattern I was actually testing, as fast as possible.  So I said, screw it, 50 HP, let's just get this over with....

The test room needs to be reloaded every time a "system" is altered, which I did many, many times, so....  I had to run through every pattern many.... many times.

The thing can be beaten without getting hit, though.  This run in the video is with me having had not much practice at all.  The day's testing doesnt actually amount to much of that.

This isnt unbeatable, Terminus will be a bit closer to that though.  No, the REALLY nasty one... isnt in the game yet. What I've dubbed the "ultra-boss".  Not the actual name.  That'll come much later, with no video until the expansion releases.  I dont even want to think about how much testing that nightmare will need.   A certain type of player likes this type of boss, on the really extreme off-chance that they ever even get to such a thing, so I intend on giving them one.

If anyone knows what Hibachi is, it's... like that.

Opened your save. My computer wept. Switched to the ST planet and ship icons filled my screen, so I zoomed out. Game told me that it _was_ totally zoomed out. You could seriously walk from one end of the inner grav well to the other without getting your feet cold.

It's VERY spot on. It's almost 1:1 with my first playthrough.

Beautiful. That last stage is a perfect nightmare. Hard enough to kill you, but it leaves just enough room that you know it's possible.
