Terror Bubbles - Do they actually do anything?

I entered a Terror Bubble room. It said "RUN AWAY" but nothing happened except the boss health kept reducing until I won. What gives?

It's a bug.  I'd actually TRIED to stick it into Mantis multiple times during the night, but the site kept glitching out. It finally went through just now.  The Bubbles not working had been a complaint I've heard a few times over the last day.

Gotcha. Maybe I should start trusting my gut feeling and just post to Mantis instead of asking. xD

how do you like having to deal with bugs that keep cropping up all the time? must give you some perspective into what Chris has put up with I bet.

You said they just stood there and did nothing? That's very strange, I tested it recently and they appear to be pursuing as intended.

If you're running an internal then you might see this:

In recent builds, Terror Bubbles were just sitting there on Normal difficulty and down, because they had no weapons on those difficulties. Fixed!
