Starward Rogue - First Video Preview (Alpha v0.201)
Mánagarmr:
Reminds me A LOT of Binding of Isaac. Anyways, personal opinion: You should probably do post commentary. The commentary was extremely difficult to follow as you kept switching between topics and having long pauses where you were focused on the game.
As something for us, the community, sure, but as something for marketing? Nu uh.

I can agree with this. It's not uncommon, lots of people seem to have trouble keeping up a commentary of any sort when the game in question is being difficult.
Definitely, post-commentary would help alot. Entertaining as the video is there's just not enough info in it to really explain the game.
I also kinda think a longer video in general might help just to show off more of what the game has to offer.

Oh. I really love shmups... especially if they have a little bullethell flavor. Mixed with elements of others genres I like too. Seems right up my alley. I'm just not sure how helpful my feedback would be given how limited my time to actually play would be. But it looks like so much fun to test...

Starward Rogue is the name we finally settled on for our roguelike/PDL shmup-like... thing. It's really fun, but video is better at describing it than I am.
The game is currently in alpha version 0.2, but we're looking for more volunteer testers all the time (email arcengames at gmail dot com). It's still in early form, but quite fun.

The bullet pattern at 2:05 is nice looking.
