Hard mode Invader:  Increase the shot speeds of EVERYTHING (about as much as the incredibility "It all happens so fast" does but without the move speed increase).  Then give it the ability to spawn more bugs faster and from the start. 

It all happens so fast made that boss a death trap for me.  :)

pretty sure you can exploit stage 2 and get infinite xp

I'm pretty sure you can't. I didn't see the spawned units providing any XP at all.

The first release version did have xp granted for the Invader Minions, however that was quickly fixed. The current version 1.005 gives no xp for the Minions.
