Is Labyrinth really that exploitable on Normal?
« on: February 06, 2016, 02:13:52 pm »
Just encountered Labyrinth again and was able to fill him with bullets the majority of the encounter without even moving simply by approaching him from the south aisle.

Sure there was a homing shot coming in every now and then most of which even hit me, but overall these were app. 10 HP easily tanked by my Level 10 mech (this was floor 4).

Also the Defenders played no role at all until after Labyrinth itself was destroyed (and then they were pushovers).

Is this how Labyrinth is supposed to play out ????
Or have I just been lucky?

Level 10 on the fourth floor... That seems like EXP is coming a bit too fast.  Level 10 contains late-game perks.

Hm.  Well, a whole bunch of perks need changing anyway, and it occurs to me that maybe the damage needs to ramp up faster than it currently does, if you're able to take that thing down while constantly getting hit.

Something to try, if you would, just because I'd like to see what happens:  Go into Labyrinth's test chamber, and fight it there, and see how that goes.

Will do that the next time I'm playing.
Credits helped to bost my lvel somewhat (this was using Green Envy).

I was more concerned about the lack of opposition created by Labyrinth.
The time he lasted seemed okay me...

Level 10 with Green Ivy on level 4 seems completely reasonable to me.  That mech is going to be a stronger one with access to to most credits.

Opened your save. My computer wept. Switched to the ST planet and ship icons filled my screen, so I zoomed out. Game told me that it _was_ totally zoomed out. You could seriously walk from one end of the inner grav well to the other without getting your feet cold.
