Mysterious Circuit
« on: August 27, 2016, 08:18:38 am »
Are mysterious circuits supposed to remain identified on subsequent runs or are they supposed to be rerandomized?

I ask because some mysterious circuits remain known, while others do not. I'm not entirely sure what that is about. E.g. I always know the Berserk circuit by sight, but the +-20 energy circuits never are identified no matter how many runs I take them.

Theoretically it's random each run as to which ones start out unknown and which are identified.

Unless there's a bug, of course...

Ok, some are supposed to start out ID'd then? I will keep my eyes out then if it's always the berserker circuit.

How many total are supposed to be ID'd?

Er.... I have no idea, actually.  My memory is terrible.

What I do know is that if any specific one is identified every single time, that's a bug.

It might also be set to vary per save file or per install.

Ok, I've noticed at least 3 different on 3 different runs, so I probably kept just getting the one identified repeatedly.

I can definitely say that circuits that you have used remain identified for the rest of that savegame slot. However, it's not certain that you have identified ALL of the circuits, as the circuits you may find are randomized, so you may still run into unidentified ones.

Hmm, if they're actually doing that, that does need to be fixed.  Not how they're supposed to work.
