I think I might have kind of accidentally stumbled across something, I thought I'd share.
Ok, so someone saw me playing Starward Rogue on Steam and asked what the difference was between that and Binding of Isaac.
Obviously, that question is not easy to explain very quickly right away so I got an idea.
I quickly got one of my recorded Hard mode attempts, shoved it into Imgur, and got some gifv files out of it.
http://i.imgur.com/kuqVHQA.gifvhttp://i.imgur.com/JjFGt6k.gifvAccidental instant sale, didn't quite expect that.
So on a hunch I linked them in an IRC I frequent and a Discord chat, more positive reception and I didn't have to even explain all that much.
So yeah, I know this really anecdotal, but maybe this is something worth trying more of?
I mean, what separates Starward Rogue from most other "bullet-hell dungeon thingys" is that it actually has some degree of pattern design, not just the "spew a bunch of slow moving projectiles and call it bullet hell".
In that sense, this sums up the "why Starward Rogue" question in a very quick and easy to present way.
So perhaps make more of these? What do you guys think?
